PHARMACOGENETIC (PGx) TESTING

Soterra’s pharmacogenetic testing, currently performed through GTI Laboratories, provides genetic information that can help a licensed clinician make better-informed medication decisions. Depending on the supported gene-drug relationship, results may help evaluate metabolism, potential response, adverse-effect risk, or dosing considerations alongside the patient’s full clinical picture.

WHAT PGx MEASURES

PGx testing evaluates specific genetic variants associated with supported medication-gene relationships. It is not ancestry testing, nutrigenomics, wellness genetics, or a diagnostic test for hidden health problems.

HOW RESULTS ARE USED

A licensed clinician may consider the report together with medical history, current medications, laboratory findings, symptoms, and other relevant clinical information. The report does not prescribe medication, select a treatment, or determine a medication decision on its own.

SEPARATE TESTING CATEGORIES

Nutrition and wellness genetics, blood testing, and other assessments are separate services with different purposes, methods, and limitations. They should not be presented as part of the PGx result unless the exact test and supporting documentation establish that scope.

Clinical and medical services are provided by appropriately licensed professionals and are separate from Soterra’s non-medical wellness services.
